The 2007 Sydney Writers’ Festival starts today and we’re chuffed to have a very small part in the programme. On Thursday 31 May 6-8:30pm in the Powerhouse Museum courtyard cafe (enter via Macarthur St) Dumbo feather’s editor, Kate, is part of a panel who’ll be chatting about Design Literacy. It’s one of the free, monthly d factory events. Come on down. The programme says: “Some would say the talk surrounding design is as important as the design itself. Elegantly produced books, design journals, and a growing array of design related websites indicate there is a global community critiquing design and an equally appreciative audience tuned into design issues. d factory host Nell Schofield joins Kate Bezar (Dumbo feather’s editor and publisher), Karen McCarthy (InsideOut magazine) Paul McGillick (Indesign publishing) to discuss what it means to be a part of the design publishing world.”
