Remo is a compulsive doodler of ideas and diagrams and has accumulated many gems and insights. He’s now begun to post them on his website/blog as ‘REMOgrams’…Above is one that he admits is not a REMO original but, as he says, “it’s useful for anyone at all. It’s about work, passion & money. There’s what you LOVE to do. There’s what you’re objectively GOOD at. And finally, there’s what will enable you to earn enough MONEY to live. If you’re not already in the place of equilibrium where these 3 circles intersect, you should really be heading there with all due haste (we reckon). Anything else is a compromise, and life is too short to waste time doing work that doesn’t bring JOY (to yourself and others).” Couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

Remo Giuffre : Issue Six : Introduction

As we suspect is the case for many people, our introduction to REMO General Store occurred many years ago on a visit to Sydney… a friend had a holiday job at the Store. There was nothing else like it then and hasn’t been since. So recently, when we heard that Remo (the Store’s founder) was to speak one evening, we headed along. We had no idea that the Store had gone belly up in 1996, but had wondered where it had gone, and also had no idea that he was back, but online this time at www.remogeneralstore.com. Remo has never given up on his global retailing ambitions and his talk was mesmerising. We popped in to see him the following day with a copy of Dumbo feather in hand to chat to him about building communities online. One thing lead to another, he loved Dumbo feather and began selling it and our t-shirts for us. Ever since we’ve wanted to tell his story and share his ideas. Described by J.
