Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
God will appreciate it.

[...] Australian-based publication Dumbo Feather have let us know that one of their subscribers, ‘a Melbourne-based interior designer called Sally’, has just launched a community project called Loose Threads with the idea to get people from the small community of Willaura together to ‘make a whole lot of things to refurbish a communal space’. To this end she’s having ‘a workshop day on August 18 where professional sewers, embroiderers, knitters and patch-workers will share their skills’. [photo by Kate Bezar] [...]

This sounds very Freecycle to me. Have you checked out the Freecycle concept. Or LETS, the Local Energy (Exchange) Trading System. I am on the NSW Central Coast and there is in an incredibly active LETS group here trading all kinds of things (my lemon tree and I are making friends all over the place and I even made enough trades to "purchase" an electronic juicer with the system's money, called Shells. Freecycle is a matter of just calling out for what you want, or what you have to offer and people connect to you. I have found back packs for my Girl Guide unit and handed on an unused laundry tub. It's about making the world a better place one gift at a time. One man's trash truly is another's treasure.
