In ‘real’ life…

Okay so we’ve got you connecting online in our Facebook group (yes it’s true), but are keen to know if any of you have stories of having made connections in ‘real’ life through Dumbo feather. We’ll start the ball rolling shall we.
Our current train of thought was prompted by the following email we were forwarded…

“Hi, thanks for my ‘Dumbo Feather’ (where does the name come from?) I’ve been meaning to write for ages (sorry). The magazine arrived the day after I saw you… I just had a great experience - went to my local (favourite) cafe with a pile of things to read (had a kid-free arvo) and I made a new friend just because she saw my copy of Dumbo Feather. We got talking and she is a fellow single mother and has been following the mag for a little while and is quite intrigued by it…. All consistent with the ‘pass it on’ philosophy - we exchanged numbers too!…

Hello, this might not be the right page to post this (I’ve lost my way exploring the website) but I’m just wondering if there are any fellow Dumbo Feather readers up here in Newcastle NSW who would like to start a ‘mook’ club like that mentioned from NZ? I’ve seen copies walking off shelves so there must be fellow inspired readers around town and the hunter perhaps?

Thanks again for a stellar mook. I’m eagerly awaiting the next edition!!

    em :)

I work at estabar - so many people LOVE dumbo feather - they steal copies all the time!
They must be doing a great job! Maybe the Mook Club wants to meet at estabar? My boss is in Peru at the moment, but I reckon she might be interested in hosting a Mook Club night - what do you girls think? should I ask her?
