Marc Whiteway is a film and television pro who has worked with the biggest networks and production companies in Canada.
Prior to moving to this side of the world, he worked at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as a writer/producer, editor and camera operator on a national radio and television program called Q. The show, which features the biggest names in global arts and culture, has become CBC’s highest rated radio program in its history. He even got to film a segment with Donald Trump at the top of his tower in Downtown Manhattan earlier this year.
Marc has also worked as a shooter, producer and editor on the flagship evening news broadcast, The National and the highly successful Canada Reads. He was involved in working with CBC Books on various occasions from shooting and producing feature stories on authors to co-producing the TD Canada Trust Children’s Literature Awards.
In 2010, Marc edited a short film entitled Swallowed that won an award at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to screen at the Cannes Short Film Corner. This year he became an associate producer of the upcoming film Life Doesn’t Frighten Me starring Canadian acting legend Gordon Pinsent.
In Australia, Marc has done freelance editing at 2 Feet Films as well as worked at ABC as a news camera operator.
He studied at Alberta College of Art & Design, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Media Arts & Digital Technologies program.
